Healing and Protecting Marine Areas

Our Marine Plastic Cleanup and Ocean Conservation Initiative is dedicated to removing harmful plastic from the ocean, expanding Marine Protected Areas (MPAs), and safeguarding whale migration routes from industrial threats. Through targeted cleanup efforts, MPA enforcement, and innovative solutions, we aim to create safer environments for dolphins, whales, sea turtles, and other marine species. With your support, we can restore the balance of marine ecosystems and protect these incredible creatures for generations to come.

Why We Must Act Now

Our oceans are in crisis. Every year, over 8 million tons of plastic enter the sea, accounting for 80% of all marine debris, endangering marine species like dolphins, whales, and sea turtles. Without immediate action, plastic pollution, habitat loss, and industrial activity will continue to devastate marine ecosystems, pushing vulnerable species closer to extinction.

At the Saviour Earth Foundation, we’re committed to tackling these urgent issues with our Marine Plastic Cleanup and Ocean Conservation Initiative. Our mission is to protect marine life by cleaning up plastic waste, expanding Marine Protected Areas (MPAs), and safeguarding whale migration routes from industrial interference. Your donation can make these critical efforts possible, providing real and measurable results for marine biodiversity.

100,000 marine animals die each year due to plastic entanglement or ingestion. Dolphins, sea turtles, and whales are particularly at risk as they often mistake plastic for food, leading to fatal consequences.

90% of whale species come into direct contact with shipping lanes during their migration, facing threats from ship strikes and noise pollution that disrupts their natural behaviors.

• Less than 10% of the world’s oceans are currently protected, leaving crucial marine habitats exposed to overfishing, industrial pollution, and destruction.

Without intervention, these numbers will continue to rise, leading to irreversible damage to marine ecosystems and the extinction of species that are vital to the health of our planet.

Our Solution: A Comprehensive Plan to Save Marine Life

1. Marine Plastic Cleanup

Plastic pollution is one of the greatest threats to marine ecosystems. Our initiative will:

• Remove 50,000 tons of plastic waste annually from key marine habitats, targeting areas frequented by dolphins, whales, and sea turtles.

• Engage in large-scale ocean cleanups and beach cleanups to prevent plastics from entering the ocean in the first place.

• Deploy cutting-edge plastic catchment systems at river mouths and coastal areas to stop waste at its source.

2. Expanding Marine Protected Areas (MPAs)

Safe havens for marine life are essential. We are advocating for the expansion and enforcement of MPAs, ensuring that:

• Vulnerable species like dolphins, sea turtles, and whales can breed, feed, and migrate without the threat of human interference.

• We increase the global ocean protected area from 10% to 20% by 2030, aligning with the 30x30 conservation goal.

• Enhanced surveillance and enforcement in MPAs will prevent illegal fishing and industrial activities that threaten these ecosystems.

3. Whale Migration Route Protection

Whales face deadly threats from industrial shipping every day. Our initiative will:

• Implement shipping lane adjustments and speed limits in critical whale migration routes, reducing whale collisions by 90%.

• Promote quieter ship technologies to reduce harmful noise pollution, allowing whales to communicate and navigate without interference.

• Work with international organizations to protect whale migration corridors from industrial activity.

The Impact of Your Support

Your contribution will directly fund:

• The removal of harmful plastic waste from marine habitats, saving countless dolphins, whales, and sea turtles from a painful death.

• The expansion of safe zones (MPAs) that allow marine life to thrive without the threat of human activity.

• The protection of whale migration routes, ensuring these majestic creatures can continue their vital journeys without risk of ship strikes or noise disruption.
